Our story started in August of 2021, when I was just 17. After losing my father—the person who first introduced me to the car scene—I felt something in me shift. That kind of loss doesn’t just break you, it changes the way you see everything. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was trying to turn that pain into something that could still carry him forward. That’s where MERCYAUTOCLUBYYC began—not as a brand, but as something deeply personal, built from grief, love, and memory.

My father was a kind person—the kind of guy who would drive an hour just to help you fix a flat tire, or swing by your place with a case of Coronas and somehow end up changing your oil without making it feel like a favor. He never made things feel transactional. He just showed up. That was who he was. He also believed something simple, but powerful: every car is beautiful. He said it to me at least once a week... It didn’t matter what you drove, how fast it was, or how much it cost—if you loved it, it had value. If it meant something to you, it deserved respect. That belief stuck with me in a way I can’t really put into words, but it became the foundation of everything I’ve built since.

Shortly after his passing, I realized something I didn’t expect. It wasn’t just me who wanted a space like that. There were so many people in the car scene who were tired of the judgment, the cliques, the quiet competition over who had the “best” build. People didn’t just want meets—they wanted a community where they could actually belong. A place where you could show up in a lowered daily or a fully built luxury car and be treated the same. No ego. No separation. Just people who loved cars, together.

That’s when MERCYAUTOCLUBYYC started to become something bigger than I ever planned. It became a space where passion mattered more than status. Where friendships formed naturally, not because of what you drove, but because of the energy you brought. Where people could come, talk, laugh, and actually feel included in something real.

What started as something deeply personal slowly turned into nights in parking lots, late conversations after meets, garage hangouts, and moments where strangers became friends without even realizing it. I saw people who would’ve never crossed paths in any other setting stand next to each other, talking about the same thing—cars, life, and everything in between.

And over time, I understood that this was never just about me or my story alone. It became about all of us. About creating something that didn’t exist where we are—a real community built on respect, passion, and the idea that everyone belongs if they love what they drive.

Even now, I still feel like I’m just continuing what started with him. Every meet, every message, every person who feels at home in this space—it all carries a piece of that original belief. To me it keeps his memory alive, I can picture him walking around our meets, talking peoples ears off about custom exhausts and tunes, and probably letting some little kid redline his car.... He taught me that cars are more than status. That people matter more than ego. And that somewhere in all of it, we built something real.
